Speaking Support Groups
A Speaking Support Group is to be quickly initiated, just after a shocking, traumatic or dramatic event has occured.
When such an event happens, emotions first need to stay under control to keep everyone’s ability to react quickly and in an appropriate way.
However when the event is over, emotions and feelings then need to be expressed to reduce or avoid Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and preserve mental health : this is the Speaking Support Group objective.

Rules of operation
The Speaking Support Group is bound by a framework that is both protective and liberating :
- Respect: for the other participants, for their uniqueness, their history, their reaction, their convictions
- Confidentiality: it allows you to express yourself without fear. It extends to keeping the identity of the people participating in the Speaking Support Group confidential.
- Responsibility: each person is responsible for her/his personal and social experience and subsequent consequences
